I have been keeping fish for 33 years.I currently run 65 tanks and have a great interest in killifish and rainbows but also Tanganykan cichlids and Apistos.My species list is:

I'm Daniel.

I recently set up a couple of tanks 2 2ft, 1 3ft, 1 6ft and 2 4ft tanks.

The main pupose of the tanks apart from the 6 ft as that is my display tank is to breed African Cichlids and Common B/N

Im only new to the whole breeding thing but really want to get into it as i've had alotta fun watching the ones i have for a while and have had B/N breed previously in my old house

any tips would be great

From North East Victoria. Love the area, hate the lack of cichlid support. Running two tanks at the moment. A 3 ft species tank with a growing family of Princess Lyretail Cichlids which will not stop growing in numbers. This time of year we are getting a batch of young ones every 3 to 4 weeks. Have not been an active fish keeper for some time but after moving to Cairns 2 years ago I decided to get back into the hobby and am now addicted

Fish tanks - the only inanimate object that breeds:

(a) 4m x 2m x 60cm pond with 2 Blue acars, 4 Texas and about 1,000 guppies and platies
(b) 163cm with 10 Red Empress and 3 male Melanochromis johannii (bought 4 young and they all turned out to be male - murphy strikes again)
(c) 100cm with 5 young Cyrtocara...

Hello all, I started out with a Community tank, and after getting a bristle nose to breed in my tank, started to apply myself and try and get (easy) fish to breed. The challenge isn't in the breeding though, more in the raising of Fry. No point breeding, if you don't end up with more fish in the tank, or for sale. Gday guys,

New forum looks great. Testing.
I keep a few types of fish.
Mainly malawi, some tangs and some americans. I have about 25 tanks and looking to get some more. Even though most of my fish do breed, I tend not to save the fry, as I do not have enough tanks. I'll get some more soon though, but then again, I want to get other different types of fish. The horrible dilemma.

Hey guys i've been on the ACE forums quite a bit before this but it's full and Sydney siders so i thought i should support the most livable city and joined up here.
